Missouri Class Four Boys HS Basketball ratings - Final 3/20/2020
There's only one word to describe class four Missouri Boys ratings.
Vashon
The Vashon Wolverines continued their dominance of Missouri basketball, including beating some excellent national teams in several tournaments. The Wolves are hands-down better than any team in the state and there are some excellent class four teams. Vashon, who lost five games, all to out-state teams, played a schedule with teams that rated 124 average and ended up with a 24-5 record. They beat excellent CBC, Mehlville, Trinity and Ladue teams and were not challenged in the play-offs. Raytown South, an excellent team from the KC area, had a 25-3 record but played a "softer" schedule with teams rating 117 on average. That is still an excellent season but I believe that the state final would have been a 15 point blow-out for whomever ended up in the final against Vashon. We can argue about it for the next 20 years.
I have scrubbed these ratings several times and listed the significant wins and losses for each team. In a few cases, a team that might have beaten a higher rated team is rated lower because the ratings reflect the entire season and the score differential for 25+ games. This rating is about as good as it gets.
I have listed the top 20 teams below and all 96 class four teams below this table.
Enjoy. I will be back with class one through three early next week and the girls after that....
