Who's Got Next? The Immovable Object vs. The Irrresistible Force

Who's Got Next?  You hear that on the court off-season when the dedicated are working their butts off to get ready for next season.  You know who they are.   You see their names in the paper everyday.  They didn't get there by slacking off.  They work year round. Guys like Caleb Love of CBC, CamRon Fletcher and Kobe Clark of Vashon, Luke Kasubke and Tarris Reed of Chaminade, Ryan Kalkbrenner and Rashad Weekly-McDaniels of Trinity, Davion Bradford and Dylan Branson of Mehlville, Jaylen Boyd of Ladue, Animu Mohammed of Greenwood, Jordan Nesbit of St. Louis Christian Academy. They stand out in the game.  They are the difference makers when the chips are down.  When the game is on the line.  You cannot guard them.  They score on your best defender.  They score on a double team.  They find their teammates when they can't score.  It's the Irresistible Force.  A moral victory is to keep them under 20 points a game. Latest Missouri Boys Basketball Ratings by Class

Last week, I posted some predictions for the weekend, based upon the mathematical model for this complete Boys Missouri high school rating system.  I thought I would just go back and see how it worked, given that these are teenagers that good and bad nights. Overall, I picked 85% of the games correctly with a couple of "upsets" with Whitfield beating a very good Lift for Life team and North Kansas City taking down Raymore-Peculiar.  85% is a pretty good predictive result since I have usually been around 80% for the football predictions (www.gramps2018.blogspot.com) and past basketball predictions.
